So many of us travel through life constantly in a state of worry, or concern about so many things. Our health, finances, kids, jobs, relationships, and worldly affairs can trouble our souls, disturbing our nervous system, as fear and anxiety arise within us.
So why do we worry so?
Our minds are wired to protect us always and they are constantly assessing information and calculating risks to our safety and security, by attempting to future predict events.
However our mindset around being pessimistic versus optimistic can have a great effect on our lived experience.
A pessimistic mindset is always future predicting what is going to go wrong , this has a significant effect on our emotional states.
However often pretty much all the things we have ever worried about never actually unfold as our minds have attempted to predict.
An optimistic mindset asks the question "What could possible go right for me?", or, "Good things are going to unfold for me this year and for my future".
For me an optimistic mindset cultivation has been a huge challenge, as I spent 30 Yrs in quality management in industry dealing with things going wrong every day.
However it is possible to switch mindsets if we catch ourselves being pessimistic and identify possibilities of success on the road ahead.
So my question is for you...
Are you an optimist or a pessimist ?
And what methods to do practice to remain optimistic ?
Curious to hear your thoughts?
Namaste ❤️🙏
